Project management for Global Procurement and GB Marketing, primarily on a Brand Asset Management system and a gated online approval process for new marketing material.

What Neil did

The role was extremely hands on, covering strategic challenge, standard programme & project management documentation plus delivering a number of flexible IT solutions:

  • Migration to new platform for their global Digital Brand Asset Management hosted solution
  • Review Intellectual Property Rights content integrity and the ordering system
  • Upgrade to allow both global and local assets to have permission-controlled access
  • Creation of a gated marketing sign-off procedure for GB Marketing (designed to allow global rollout, currently being tested in Iberia)
  • Electronic newsletter, integrated with the Digital Asset solution
  • Development of a dedicated press website for Classic Malts
  • Initial specification and design of a dedicated press website for Johnnie Walker

These involved writing detailed specification documents, look and feel design, discussions with legal counsel and extensive user acceptance testing.

Result

Delivered stable, bug free user friendly system. Significantly speeds up the end-to-end process, and has been enthusiastically adopted by the user community. Press Release (2mb).
