Working on the multi-million pound change portfolio for the new post-merger business.
What Neil did
Primary role was to monitor projects (about 25 at any one time), in particular the finance and compliance-related activities. This included monitoring and analysis of interdependencies, milestones, costs, benefits, risks and issues, as well as review the business cases. Regular challenge to project reporting and creating monthly Executive steering committee reports.
Result
As part of a 5-person team, ensuring that unauthorised scope creep was minimised, that annual spend was within agreed budget and that projects delivered as they stated in the business case.
